Hiring Aurora Swiss Aerospace Chief of Staff, Corporate - Luzern, CH

Aurora Swiss Aerospace is an engineering center of expertise, specializing in advanced aircraft. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Aurora Swiss Aerospace Chief of Staff to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Communications

  • Translates the Aurora Swiss’s vision and directives across Aurora Flight Sciences; co-creates actionable plans for execution.
  • Informs the Managing Director of organizational developments otherwise not directly visible.
  • Serves as a conduit to/from the Managing Director for our staff; helps answers concerns, shares information, and extends the visibility of the Managing Director’s office to the staff as needed.
  • Guides various stakeholders to pre-align decisions and requests with the Managing Director’s vision and goals.
  • Builds independent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, especially other Chief of Staff within Aurora Flight Sciences and the Boeing Enterprise.
  • Reviews internal and external Aurora Swiss communications; work with Communications to contribute to company newsletters, reports, speeches, or presentations for the Managing Director.
  • Facilitates communication by drafting memos and other messages on behalf of the Managing Director and partnering with the Communication function.
  • Supports the Managing Director in preparation for key engagements, including internal/external briefings and speaking engagements.

Operational

  • Ensures information flow between Aurora Swiss and the various AFS functional and business groups.
  • Leverages AFS’ metrics and tools to assess and communicate ASA organizational performance.
  • Creates and updates dashboards for review of key ASA performance indicators. Provides summary assessment to support the Managing Director decision making.
  • Drives operational improvements across multiple functional and business groups.
  • Researches, benchmarks, analyzes data and makes recommendations.
  • Works with functional and business groups to creates systems and processes to streamline operations.
  • Leads a portfolio of projects on behalf of the Managing Director.
  • Oversees, often cross-functional local projects or initiatives to bring together multiple stakeholders and helps drive decisions.
  • Monitors information flow: Sometimes acts as a gatekeeper.
  • Ensures Managing Director’s involvement in a project or decision-making process at the right time, assures information flow happens both to the Managing Director and from the Managing Director.
  • Supports the Managing Director in the coordination of key meetings and events.
  • Meeting content preparation and follow-up: reviews upcoming meetings for the week to ensure the Managing Director has all the information needed to be as productive as possible, help rearrange overlaps, organizes agendas with stakeholders, assures efficient use of time, actions are documented, and followed up is accomplished.
  • Manages the Managing Director’s meeting cadence with the Aurora Swiss leaders, managers, and key support team, ensures materials are sent in advance, time is well spent, and objectives to outcomes are achieved.

Strategic

  • Assists the Managing Director in aligning the executive’s priorities with functions and business needs.
  • Offers strategic insight to the Managing Director gained through close communication and interaction with all parts of the organization.
  • Acts as a thought partner to the Managing Director in the development of messaging to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensures operational alignment to enable strategic execution of priorities.
  • Participates in the strategic planning process.
  • Dispositions suggestions from the ASA main email inbox
  • Occasionally share Aurora Swiss’ reports out to Boeing Research & Technology Europe and Boeing Global
  • Liaise with teams at each site as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of work experience or 10+ years of relevant experience with another type of certification or diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will aspire to enhance their management career or enter a management role. Candidates can come from a variety of disciplines and functions and a variety of experience levels.
  • Candidates considered must be eligible to work in Switzerland with a valid work permit or should be an EU/EFTA national with a valid passport to enable work permit application.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English mandatory. Multi-lingual is desirable.

  • This position may require up to 25% domestic and international travel.
