Rust Engineer (ML and system verification)

About us:

Daedalean is a Zürich-based startup founded by experienced engineers who want to completely revolutionize air travel within the next decade. We combine computer vision, deep learning, and robotics to develop full “level-5” autonomy for flying vehicles.


Your role:

In collaboration with our team of engineers, machine learning researchers and certification experts, participate in the development and verification of the first machine learning-based avionics.

What you will do:
  • Implement, run, and analyse Monte Carlo simulations on billions of data points.
  • Design and implement software to analyse dynamical systems and their filtering.
  • Interface with production hardware and software.
  • Optimize and deploy code so that it can be run on a large scale.
  • Document the result of analyses.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of our software for the analysis of machine learning models, system performance, flight recording processing, and more.


Preferred qualifications:
  • Proven engineering and research skills.
  • Experience with the Rust programming language.
  • Good technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of statistics and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and/or robotics.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes.
