Working closely with the Head of Tax, the Head of Tax Reporting & Accounting will lead a diverse range of projects, owning all internal and external tax reporting matters which requires a depth of in-house knowledge.
This is a broad role for a well-rounded tax professional with the approximate split being reporting and compliance 75% and strategy, transfer pricing and projects 25%.
This position will own the outsourced compliance and reporting process, managing the third party outsource provider and will monitor and enhance the Group’s direct tax processes and controls, including leading on design and implementation of new reporting processes and controls as required. The role will involve engaging and working with a broad range of business stakeholders including: external authorities (regulatory, audit, tax), our advisors, regional finance teams (including US and EU), the Group Finance team, other corporate functions (Legal, HR, operations) and shared services. The candidate should have a proven track record of corporation tax compliance and reporting ideally in a large multinational organization, including the US .
Tax provision work is carried out using a OneStream tax cube implementation and the role will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing review, maintenance and upgrade of the cube to enable delivery of a high quality tax provision and maximize the potential for automation, supported by advisors as necessary.
Responsibilities:

Reviews and oversees the delivery of all tax reporting and compliance through managing third party advisors and internal resources.

Preparers of quarterly tax provision (including both current tax and deferred tax) under IFRS supported at peak times by other tax members, including preparing/reviewing the tax provision calculations by overseas teams, management and reconciliation of the tax balances on the ledger, analyzing the effective rate and reporting the position.

Develops strong working relationships with finance, treasury and legal functions within Arxada.

Preparation of the tax disclosures for the Companies consolidated group accounts prepared under IFRS and leads the relationship with external and internal auditors.

Ensures that internal resources, processes, and controls are in place to produce accurate tax reporting, including identifying and implementing finance and tax process improvements as necessary.

Owns risk management process for the tax function including identifying, monitoring, and managing tax risks and communicating these to the Head of Tax and key stakeholders.

Leads tax forecasting and modelling related to corporate initiatives, legislative proposals, and ETR for the company. As we get closer to going public (IPO), we will need to build a Quarterly process involving AETR and discrete items.

Assist with corporate tax & reporting process improvement projects, including the use of automation tools, to streamline and standardize processes.

Establish and manage the group Reporting response in relation to the OECD Pillar 2 obligations, including new deferred and current tax accounting and reporting requirements.

Manage the interaction between the OECD Pillar 2 accounting requirements and group annual accounts reporting and existing Country by Country Reporting.
Requirements:

A recognized Accounting and/or Tax qualification

Significant experience in Tax, Reporting, and Compliance, ideally in a large, multinational business

Excellent working knowledge of OneStream or HFM, SAP and Microsoft Excel

Strong business acumen and demonstrated business partnering experience.

Strong team leadership skills with a focus on development and coaching

Ability to think and act strategically while being able to execute on operational deliverables.

Expert in regional/international corporate related taxes including:
-
Tax Accounting (IFRS & IAS 12).

Transfer Pricing, Tax issues on M&A projects, Indirect Taxes and Tax Structuring.

Strong negotiator, internally and with external government bodies (tax authorities).
The expected salary range for this role is 170.000$-210.000$, but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
