How you can make an impact
- System engineering of a hardware & software system in ETCS (European Train Control System)
- Design and integration of on-board systems into rail vehicles
- Creation of concepts, system requirements specifications and electrical schematics
- Participation in static & dynamic commissioning of the systems in rail vehicle as well as in type tests in the field
- Preparation of evidences for authorization
- Interface with customers, assessors and suppliers
- Working in complicated projects with a large number of stake holders and in a multi-cultural environment
- Development of system architecture
- Further development of the system based on customer requirements
How you will contribute
- Completed technical education as mechanical, electronic or computer science engineer ETH/TU/FH or comparable
- Experience in electro-mechanical installations
- Experience is testing and commissioning electro-mechanical equipment
- English at fluent level (spoken and written)
- Good analytical and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel in Europe (up to 25%)
Desireable
- Knowledge of ETCS including European Railway Agency (ERA) standards
- Knowledge of National Train Control Systems in different European countries (e.g. PZB, PZB/LZB, ATB-EG, TBL1+, SCMT, MIREL, Zub123 etc. )
- Experience with Class B systems integration
- Knowledge of tools like DOORS, RQM, CCM, as well as MVB protocols and/or the simulation environment
- German as well as Italian spoken and written
- Experience in hardware Integration
- Start immediately or upon agreement
