As a Flavourist assistant (m/f/d) you will support daily tasks of the Beverage flavourist. Follow established procedures and guidelines to compound flavours, prepare emulsions, make applications and take part in evaluations and testing, to support application process, according to our goals and EH&S policies.
You will be part of a supportive, diverse and responsible team which is already curious to meet you.
This role is based in Kemptthal (Switzerland).
You will:
- Independently compound flavour formulations, liquids and powders
- Prepare emulsions
- Coordinate and help evaluate raw materials and flavour panels
- Apply flavour in application/base for profile, functionality, and shelf-life evaluation
- Organize, summarize, and process the data under the supervision of the flavourist
- Maintain logs and other records
- Coordinate between the departments with global team members of research, creation, application and sensory scientists
- Adhere and observe the laboratory safety rules and regulations
- Maintain the lab stock of the chemicals and flavours
- Coordinate shipping samples and flavours globally
You have:
- An Education as chemical laboratory technician or Bachelor's Degree with first experience in a food applications lab, production or related area.
- Strong Chemistry and mathematics skills to accomplish formulas, make dilutions, and modify usage rates
- Good Working knowledge in English written and verbal form
- Proficient computer skill
- First Experience with research documentation protocol
- Basic knowledge of lab equipment and handling chemicals
- Follow liquid formulations with speed and accuracy
- Basic knowledge of safety, hygiene, and environmental guidelines/requirements
- Organize a lab efficiently and keep raw materials up to date
