We are offering a trainee position as part of our NCE-CDMO Technical Evaluation & Development team in Visp, Switzerland.

We are looking for motivated and talented young chemists with a B.Sc. or M.Sc. preferably in the field of organic chemistry, which are eager to gain insight in the chemical industry in parallel to their university education.

As part of our team, you will support our process development and evaluation teams and participate in running projects.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Participate in the process development of current active projects within the group.
  • Practical synthetic lab work within a defined isolated own project within a larger team
  • Route- and literature scouting to identify new trends and product opportunities.
  • Presenting your results to the relevant stakeholders and project teams.
  • Support our marketing and new business development teams with technical contributions to white papers and presentations.

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in chemistry (preferred with focus on organic chemistry)
  • Ability to enjoy working in cross functional and diverse teams.
  • Structured way of working and high problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in scientific literature search and writing of scientific articles.
  • Good IT knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German
