History Mägert G&C Bautechnik AG, MBT for short, was founded in 1980 by Gottfried and Christof Mägert. The first product developed and patented by the Mägert brothers was the Randfix Deckenrandabschlungssystem, which quickly conquered the whole of Switzerland. Today, the Randfix angle still adorns the MBT logo and refers to the successful history of its development. This shuttering system as well as many other newly developed and patented products were novelties on the construction site and are indispensable today. Products and development 40 years of research and development have resulted in a range of products in the areas of formwork, formwork with iron penetration, BKA system, anchor bracket, side protection and fall protection, site equipment, fastening technology and formwork accessories that have sustainably increased the rationalization process and safety on construction sites and greatly simplified handling. The daily challenges of our customers continue to inspire us to develop new products and improve existing ones, so that work can be carried out more rationally, efficiently and safely on construction sites. Thanks to the quality of the products and the system concept, which makes it possible to combine the products with each other, you save time and money. Since the foundation of Mägert G&C Bautechnik AG in 1980, the company has grown continuously. In 1992, the shortage of storage space presented us with new logistical challenges. With the founding of Mägert BAUKU AG as well as a warehouse expansion, we were able to successfully meet this challenge and at the same time add another chapter to the successful company history. Mägert BAUKU AG produces semi-finished and finished products made of PE, PP and other plastics with its own plastic injection molding shop. In the own assembly department many different constructional products made of plastic, metal and wood are assembled. The logistics department stores the produced articles and guarantees that they are ready for dispatch on time. The demand for MBT products continued to grow, so after building two new warehouses in 2008 and 2010, we decided to build another, new and larger production and logistics building. At the beginning of 2014, we were then allowed to move into the new building. The large premises, production facilities and storage areas help us to optimize the order processing in order to offer you an excellent service. Quality with system Our motto "Quality with System" has been our motivation and drive for 40 years to offer you as a customer innovative and simple solutions every day, which make working on the construction site more efficient and safer. In addition to the quality of the products, with the system idea we created a product range that can be excellently combined with each other and thus save costs. The red mountain above the slogan "Quality with System" shows the Niesen in the Bernese Oberland. It symbolizes our production at Mägert BAUKU AG in Frutigen and our cooperation with the workshops for the disabled in Frutigen, Gwatt, Thun and Uetendorfberg. Social commitment For over 20 years, we have been supporting the integration of people with mental or physical disabilities. In doing so, we work hand in hand with various institutions to enable a sustainable, positive change in the lives of these people. From assembly to packaging orders, our partners ARWO (Arbeiten Wohnen) Frutigland, Stiftung für integriertes Leben und Arbeiten in Gwatt und Thun, Stiftung Uetendorfberg as well as Wohn- und Arbeitsgemeinschaft Gwatt take on a wide variety of varied work for us. In this way, we enable disadvantaged people to integrate into a regulated, meaningful everyday working life. Every MBT product sold makes an important contribution to this. Environment Doing business is not just about meeting customer needs for profit. According to the definition of the word, it is rather the efficient decision-making about scarce resources. In the production of our products, we therefore attach great importance to the environmentally friendly, sustainable use of resources. Our plastic production therefore uses 90% recycled plastic granulate and, thanks to internal recycling, no plastic waste is produced. With an innovative heating system that utilizes the waste heat from our production plant, our energy requirements are also significantly reduced. We are pleased to be able to make a contribution to the sustainable use of energy and raw materials. Development aid Our company has grown continuously and at a healthy rate over the past 40 years. This cannot be taken for granted, after all we are in a fast-moving and competitive economic environment. On the one hand, this growth helps us to promote the regional business location and to continue to make investments. On the other hand, it gives us the opportunity to support people in need in developing countries. With our SME foundation, we regularly carry out missions in developing countries to help the people in these nations and support local organizations. It is also an additional motivation for our employees to know that with their daily work they are contributing to the support of people in need.
