Worldwide, about half of the global energy consumption is attributed to heating and cooling buildings (Source: IEA, 2022). A significant portion of which escapes and is therefore being wasted due to leaks in the building envelope. SIGA, a Swiss family-owned company with over 600 employees across 24 countries, develops, manufactures, and educates on products for energy-efficient building envelopes, including diffusion-permeable membranes and non-toxic adhesive tapes. Tight building envelopes protect against uncontrolled air exchange, reduce energy consumption for heating and cooling, and contribute to combating climate change.
SIGA is working towards a future where buildings no longer waste energy, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change. Despite its global vision, SIGA remains loyal to its local Swiss roots and continues to invest locally, with production facilities in Ruswil and Schachen.
