Die WRS Widmer Rail Services AG ist ein Eisenbahnverkehrsunternehmen, welches in den drei
Sprachgebieten der Schweiz (Deutsch, Französisch, Italienisch) & Deutschland tätig ist. Die WRS führt alle Arten von Zügen: vom Rangier- über den Bauzug, zum Güterzug.
Wir bieten gesamtschweizerisch kundennahe Gesamtlösungen in den Bereichen Fahren, Rangieren und Zugsvorbereitung an.
Unsere Depots sind in Basel, Bellinzona, Glattbrugg und Renens. Rund 50 Lokführer inkl. Auszubildende sind für uns tätig.
In Balstahl SO führen wir eine Werkstatt, in welcher wir eigene oder Fahrzeuge von anderen Unternehmen unterhalten.
Die Geschäftsleitung, Disposition, Administration und Personal haben ihre Büros in Stansstad NW.

The WRS has annual working hours. The WRS pays out additional hours after consultation with employees, whereby most of the additional hours are preferably compensated by the employees. The WRS adheres to the AZG (Working Hours Act) and monitors compliance on a daily basis (violations are noticed when employees leave the company). If working hours are extended due to rail disruptions and this leads to AZG violations, this is discussed with the employees.

Already during my training as a businesswoman I got the offer to stay in the company in order to gain further work experience. It was a great relief to not have to be looking for a job at the same time during the final exams. Furthermore, working with the friendly and open team is a lot of fun.
