Toxic atmosphere and poor management
This works well in the company
Coffee machines worked most of the time. Can't think of anything else.
This could be improved
- CULTURE - I consider to be TOXIC. You can't (shouldn't!) trust people because they will step on you and do anything to advance or protect their careers. Forget about teamwork or camaraderie. (And if you are not native French speaker - it may be even worse for you.) - MANAGEMENT - too many incompetent “careerist” managers, caring only for their paycheck and CV, on expense of their people and the company as a whole. Lower managers are often inexperienced and could learn - middle and upper management have no excuse. CEO came from very large company and this is his first job at this position, and it feels he doesn't know how to manage this much smaller organisation with less resources, but he still expects "more with less". - HR - fully “americanized” and exists only to protect company from actions of the management, making them completely untrustworthy. - CAREER AND PROGRESSION - total joke! Requirements are unwritten and arbitrary. Unequal treatment between sites, departments, and teams. Promotions by favouritism and office politics. You can have people with same experience and 2-3 grade difference - or people with different experience on the same grade – or less experienced person outranking more experienced. - SALARIES AND RAISES - initial salary low comparing to market standards and poor raises.
