The IKEA culture is based on respect, cohesion and fun at work. Throughout all hierarchical levels, there are many long-standing employees and employees in all age groups. All are equal regardless of origin and gender. There is equal pay for equal work and 50% women in management positions. This was certified by EDGE ("Economic Dividends for Gender Equality"). Due to the size of the company there are (almost) no limits. Everyone has the opportunity to develop, learn and take responsibility according to their abilities. The salary should perhaps not be the main reason (retail trade) to work at IKEA. In return, IKEA offers excellent social benefits: 28 days holiday, staff discount, bonus possibility for all employees, up to 8 weeks paternity leave, child allowances and a loyalty programme are just some of them.
