Dräger has very good quality products. It would actually be a good employer if there was good management. The salary is normal for the industry and the bonus is OK. However, the bonus should not go to the team, but to individual performance / dispatch. Then it would be fair and work would be more efficient.

Training courses in Lübeck are offered very late, and then more training is given at sales level than technical. Online training must be provided, although this does not affect certain departments. The workplace is very well and modernly equipped with ESD, but hardly anyone is interested in this. The ESD mat is replaced once a year. Examinations are ignored. Older employees are favored with favors or trainer training shortly before retirement, instead of middle-aged employees who would like to. As soon as the training is finished, it is reduced to 80%. A young father who wants to have a daddy's day and ride 80% is rejected. Allegedly not tolerated from above... If you address mistakes directly, the supervisor reduces it. Not so bad. Suggestions for improvement are ignored. If you are too honest, you are bullied out. Young team leader who has yet to earn his spurs and is too shy to take a stand. The next instance doesn't even take a pad and pen to the meeting. This shows me the indifference. It's a great pity that this climate is maintained. When the relatively young boss is gone (which happened a lot with his further training and special external assignments), the older employees do what they want and how they want. In other words, the older ones set the tone, and the STV boss follows suit and makes fun of others himself... Smoking breaks for several hours a day, handing over the work to new employees and complaining about their incompetence. The good work is done by long-serving employees themselves. Other department heads drive through the corridors with a pallet truck and laugh... Safety leaves a lot to be desired. I hope that the company has the right people reading this and thinking about whether Dräger deserves to treat people and work like this.

At management level, especially in the IP department. There is an unnecessary dependency on the parent company in Lübeck, Germany. Due to a lack of management competence and the fact that certain department heads are barely present, decisions in day-to-day business have to be made on a personal level. If targets are not met or the responsible department head feels cheated, this very quickly leads to written warnings.

Working at Dräger is a wonderful experience. The appreciation and trust you receive as an employee is remarkable. You can clearly feel that Dräger is a very healthy company. The opportunity to work independently to a high degree is something I have rarely experienced in previous jobs. I have the freedom to plan my own schedule and decide each week when, where and how I work. This kind of freedom is not commonplace. You almost feel like your own entrepreneur. Working at Dräger is great fun, it is both stimulating and challenging. Overall, it's a really positive experience. You are paid fairly and the benefits are really good! Every company car is fully equipped!

In fact, I can't think of anything that could be improved at the moment. Of course, not everything is always perfect! But where is everything perfect?

I have now been working for Dräger for over 13 years - and there has rarely been a morning when I have not been happy to get up and start work. This, together with my highly motivated and specifically trained employees, whom I greatly appreciate and who do an exemplary job every day for our emergency services and other customers. Due to the flat and almost imperceptible hierarchy levels, the "chances for advancement" are limited. However, we strive to always discuss important decisions as a team and then define and implement them together. In doing so, it is important to us that the employees enjoy as much say as possible.

After 5 months at Dräger, I can state the following: Certain processes could be made more efficient. Dräger is a group and simply moves more slowly in some things than an SME, but I think that is understandable to a certain extent given the size of the company.

Dräger trains and introduces its employees in an exemplary manner and gives them a lot of room to work independently and freely. Dräger is very interested in developing its employees and encouraging them. Whether during the Corona crisis or now during the war in Ukraine, Dräger has always remained a secure employer. The working atmosphere at Dräger is very collegial and friendly. People feel comfortable and are happy to work here every day. The employer is not to be recommended! High turnover of employees and jobs are always advertised as "newly created positions" so that no suspicion arises... It is imperative that management changes are made to reduce staff turnover. The employees are sometimes treated in a way that is not in keeping with any work ethic. One is only satisfied with the employee if one is good friends with the superior.
