I applied for an advertised position at Perspecta. The application process and everything else went smoothly, partly because of my personal connections there. I was accepted by Perspecta, resigned from my previous job and signed the contract there. Then the shock... I got a call to say that my employment had been revoked and that they were very sorry about the circumstances. When I repeatedly asked what exactly had happened that led to this decision, I still haven't received an answer, which really offends me. There can always be problems and changes afterwards, and I fully understand that, even if the whole thing itself is unpleasant and not okay. But this contemptuous treatment of me afterwards shows the true character of the employer in my eyes. I was looking forward to the job there, Spitex has a good reputation, and in my conversations beforehand it was emphasized several times how respectfully people treat each other in this company. Unfortunately, the behavior shows no appreciation at all for other people. I am very disappointed! In addition, the position is still advertised, which raises questions for me.
