Research Assistant Department of the History of Textile Arts (Pre-doc) 80%

At the Department of the History of Textile Arts, a position as a research assistant (80%) is to be filled starting February 1, 2025 (or by agreement) for a duration of two years (with an option for extension).
). A preferred focus is in the area of medieval (Islamic) textile art history, complementing and expanding the professorship in research and teaching. In addition to pursuing their own academic qualification (PhD), the position includes supporting the professorship in teaching, research, and administrative tasks.

We are seeking candidates with academic potential who aim to pursue a dissertation project in the field of medieval (Islamic) textile art history. A successful application further requires excellent proficiency in English as well as another language relevant to the research area (e.g., Arabic, Persian).
