British American Tobacco Costa Rica has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Finance Assistant Manager in Heredia
Execute the delivery of specific elements of financial accounts, ensuring quality of financial reporting at all times. The role may involve certain management responsibilities and may require liaison with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. External Auditors).
The job holder will need to ensure process compliance so that source system data is complete and accurate as well as adhering to policies, procedures and accounting standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and deliver accurate financial information in line with group accounting principles.
- Manage authority Limits and SAP implementation of those.
- Liaise with GBS to ensure delivery of information is on-time in full (OTIF).
- Full involvement with external audit as required for areas of responsibility.
- Ensure month end close activities, statutory financial reporting (actuals) are performed on time.
- Performs monthly analytical reviews and prepares meaningful commentaries to explain results.
- Prepares additional year-end financial information to meet the disclosure requirements of BAT’s annual financial statements.
- Investigating and responding to ad-hoc queries/reporting relating to financial performance and analysis requests.
- Monitor GBS KPI and liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure performance metrics are aligned with targets.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree required with CPA is preferred.
- 5 or more years’ experience in accounting general ledger and financial analysis and minimum 2 years’ experience in a Shared Service environment.
- A thorough understanding and knowledge of SAP and BPC is preferred.
- Rational decision making and problem-solving ability is essential.
- Understand the impact of the accounting process and practice (IFRS and group reporting guidelines).
- Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Knowledgeable in identifying risks and in executing controls.
- Advanced English proficiency.
