The Position
Summary of the position:
As Diagnostics RDS/RIS Compliance Lead you will oversee the comprehensive compliance program for Roche Diagnostics RDS / RIS. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, managing large and diverse teams architecting, managing and overseeing the governance and strategic framework for compliance and business sustainability, to support the RDS/RIS Diagnostics organization and ensure sustainable growth. You will effectively foster and further strengthen a culture of integrity, drive compliance risk and opportunity management and state of the art compliance programs, foster continuous improvement of the compliance and business sustainability processes, supporting the organization with an effective and proactive business oriented approach.This position requires you to handle high-impact, complex compliance challenges, working with senior leadership to drive business-wide initiatives.
You will report directly to the Head of Diagnostics Compliance and become a member of the Diagnostics Compliance Leadership Team. This will foster a deep and timely understanding of all activities and a proactive and effective co-creation of compliant and sustainable solutions.
Main tasks of the position:

Co-creation and co-ownership of the strategic direction, the operating model, the ways of working, and talent management of the Compliance function globally and across divisions.

Implementation of the decisions of the Core Compliance Team in the RDS/RIS organization.

Accountability to set the strategic direction and roadmap for compliance for the BAs, engaging a multitude of stakeholders (local/regional/global) and working cross-functionally.

Accountability for BAs strategy implementation and building the skills and capacities to enable the Diagnostics Vision.

Leading large teams and complex projects as a key enabler of sustainable business operations by providing the highest quality compliance advice that includes the identification, management, and improvement of key compliance risks across the BAs to support risk management and compliance assurance.

Enabling and developing the network of internal compliance professionals at BAs organizations level to drive the implementation of strategic goals and to manage key compliance risks.

Coaching and catalyzing the BAs organizations compliance team to co-create value with and for all its key stakeholders. Enabling a learning environment and keeping the customers at the center of activities of the RDS/RIS compliance team.

Oversight of any compliance investigations in the BAs organizations.

Establishing and maintaining good relationships with regulatory/industry bodies, raising the standards for ethical business, promoting regulatory convergence, and increasing digital health readiness.

Identifies and follows national and international political decision-making processes to safeguard the interests of Roche.

Provides advice to and participates in governance bodies of BAs organizations and Compliance.

Support and provide input to the representative of Roche in the Ethics & Code Committee of Medtech, including in other industry and similar associations.

Leading efforts to ensure compliance education of RDS/RIS Compliance employees, with a focus on high-impact learning initiatives to support strategic goals.
Qualifications of the position:
Education:
-
University Degree (or MBA or other relevant Post Graduate qualification), preferably in the Legal, Finance, Economics, Business, Administration, Audit area.
Professional experience/duration:
-
Extensive Experience (min. 12-15 years) in Audit, Compliance, Risk, Assurance or Governance, ideally with international and team leadership experiences.

Extensive experience in leading large international teams and proven strategic leadership skills.
-
Strong knowledge of relevant international compliance policies and regulations, and of the internal network with relevant experts across the business or solid understanding of the diagnostics, medtech and healthcare industry, intercultural understanding and experience in change management, strong skills in Project Management

Experience in managing complex, high-impact compliance topics and partnering with senior leadership to drive business outcomes.

You have 5-8 years of leadership experience. managing large teams in complex, matrixed environments.

You are also responsible for building, and then providing effective leadership for the RDS/RIS Compliance Network. Doing so in a manner that is consistent with the Roche Values and leadership capabilities. You will seek to inspire and lead your RDS/RIS Compliance team to create transformative solutions, and to influence their prioritization and uptake in the wider organization, in order to ensure that customer solutions are at the forefront of Roche Diagnostics Compliance and deliver its optimal contribution to the Roche Diagnostics Vision.
