In our quest to revolutionize the world's infrastructure, we're seeking a dynamicPortfolio Unit Quality Manager Security Business within the Building Products team
Location:The preferred location is Karlsruhe, Germany, however, Zug, Switzerland is also a viable alternative
The Role
The Portfolio Unit Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards across the entire product life cycle, covering both hardware and software products. This role involves close collaboration with Product teams, factories, third party HW OEMs and the Supplier Quality team to maintain robust quality processes and products
Key Responsibilities
- Foster and facilitate Process Application/ Improvement during product life cycle
- Ensure that Built in Quality is well implemented by Product and Development teams during life cycle including sustainable bug fixing strategies
- Lead the Security Quality improvement initiative in strong collaboration with Product and Development team in handling quality issues, including product recalls and task forces, ensuring timely and effective resolution leveraging 8D methodologies
- Define, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive quality objectives. Act quickly if deviations arise
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality
- Support in maintaining the Quality Management system
- When it comes to quality, you are the interface for important stakeholders as the portfolio unit management, finance, research and development, global supply chain, product life cycle management, manufacturing sites
- Conduct regular audits to evaluate product maturity, ensuring alignment with quality standards and readiness for the next life cycle stage. Support external audits preparation and execution
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred or relevant business or technical experience
- 5 years plus of similar experience ideally gained in a Global Company / similar industry
- Be a proactive leader with a strong background in quality management, possessing the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive continuous quality improvements
- Software development knowledge and bug handling is a clear advantage
- You are driven, eager to challenge the status quo, and bring a high level of energy to their work. Structured and organized
- Prior experience in team management is a plus
- Motivated, entrepreneurship, ownership, detail oriented, strategic thinker, continuous improvement mindset
- Bring enthusiasm for quality and innovation, eager to explore new ideas and challenge limits
- Team player, being constructive, good at negotiating, and seeking agreements
- Fluency in English & German
