Basel Area Business & Innovation is the investment and innovation promotion agency dedicated to helping companies, institutions and startups find business success in the Basel Area. The organization targets and attracts companies to settle, supports founders of innovative ventures, and drives high growth initiatives in order to establish the region as the Swiss business and innovation hub of the future.
We are looking for a highly motivated and flexible person to strengthen our Innovation & Entrepreneurship team as
In this role, you will lead key initiatives and projects designed to support and inspire early-stage startups in the Basel area. You’ll play a vital role in shaping the region’s innovation ecosystem.
Your responsibilities
- Design and execute startup support programs that support early-stage high-tech startups in our region.
- Organize and moderate events and workshops and manage our community and networks using innovative concepts and tools.
- Assess and report the impact and performance of our support programs to management and funding partners.
- Develop a funding strategy and secure financing for your programs.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with sponsors and partners of our programs.
- Collaborate internally with team members and externally with partner organizations within the innovation ecosystem.
Your profile
- Professional experience in a leading role in a startup, as an entrepreneur, or working in a related field (accelerator management, VC)
- Degree in business, management, innovation or a related field.
- An understanding of and interest in the latest developments in technology and innovation. Prior experience in ICT would be advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong degree of self-motivation, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Fluency in German and English (Knowledge of French is an advantage).
