As a Red Hat OpenShift Expert, you will:
Design and Architecture: Design scalable and resilient containerized application architectures using Red Hat OpenShift. Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop best practices for container orchestration.
Implementation and Deployment: Implement, configure, and deploy applications on Red Hat OpenShift clusters. Troubleshoot deployment issues and optimize performance for high availability and efficiency.
Automation: Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline the deployment and management of applications on OpenShift. Implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in container environments. Implement security policies, access controls, and encryption mechanisms to safeguard applications and data.
Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the health and performance of OpenShift clusters and applications. Identify areas for optimization and scalability improvements. Implement monitoring tools and alerts to proactively address issues.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive documentation, guides, and tutorials for OpenShift configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures. Share knowledge and provide training to team members as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience working with Red Hat OpenShift in production environments
- Strong proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience with scripting and automation using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar
- In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems and networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
- Experience with other container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go). -
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
