Financial Accountant

In order to successfully support the Finance department in Switzerland, Saxo is looking to hire a Senior Financial Accountant and Regulatory Reporting Specialist.

Responsibilities

In general, the candidate is part of the Finance team is responsible for the fields of Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Financial Controlling and local Financial Risk Management.

Key responsibility is the bookkeeping and preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly statements to local authorities and parent company.

  • Preparation of the Financial Statements of the Bank in accordance with RVB FINMA, including the preparation of the Annual Report
  • Monthly Group reporting in accordance with IFRS
  • Regulatory reporting to SNB including month-end statistic (MONA), liquidity coverage ratio (LCR), capital adequacy ratio in accordance with Basel III, net stable funding ration (NSFR) etc.
  • Bookings to the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll bookings and payment process including reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Monthly analysis on cost and income development
  • Monthly follow up on cost controlling and support in yearly cost budget process
  • Performing of various controls regarding key risks of the Bank as defined in local risk control matrix
  • Deputizing for the Head ofFinance

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent education (e.g. Swiss KV degree and business school)
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a Finance department within a Bank
  • Profound knowledge of accounting standards (according to RVB FINMA /IFRS)
  • Fluent in English and/or German
  • Profound Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Independent, pro-active, well organized and precise way of working
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work well in a demanding environment
