IHRE AUFGABEN

• Operate the existing Web Application Firewall (WAF) infrastructure together with our team of WAF engineers
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to WAF and initiate actions for remediation as part of the 2nd and 3rd level support organization and participate in the on-call duty rotation
• Enhance the security of Web applications and APIs by introducing additional protective measures on the WAF
• Review new or changed requirements and assess their feasibility as well as their impact on the surrounding systems, standards and guidelines
• Integrate new Web Applications and APIs into the WAF infrastructure
• Continuously improve the service reliability, security, performance and monitoring of the WAF infrastructure

YOUR PROFILE

• Two or more years of experience with operating WAF solutions such as Nevis, F5, Airlock, Cloudflare WAF or ModSecurity
• Profound understanding of security best practices of web applications and APIs
• Strong troubleshooting and structured problem solving skills
• Solid foundation in networking fundamentals, with advanced understanding of internet protocol suite (TCP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, etc.)
• Experience with the implementation of authentication and federation mechanisms such as SAML, OAuth and OIDC
• Good technical understanding of Linux operating systems and its command line tools
• Two or more years of experience with securing web applications and APIs against vulnerabilities and attacks
• Good understanding of security best-practices in the area of Web Applications and APIs
• Fluent in spoken and written German and English language
• Higher professional education (Swiss Federal Diploma or higher education) or comparable certification (CISSP) with relevant practical knowledge is desired
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong collaborator with the ability to take ownership
• Team player
• Well structured and reliable
• Willingness and ability to continuously learn new skills
