All over the world, the name Hasler is synonymous with Swiss quality in the railway market. The head office of HaslerRail AG is located in Berne, Switzerland. For the extension of our System Engineering team, we are seeking to hire (immediately or by arrangement) a dynamic and motivated System Engineer / Technician (f/m/d).
The System Engineer we are looking for is a technician for customer projects. He/She supports other technicians of the team on technical issues and tools. Provides expertise and advice to the client on technical issues and problems. Writes technical documentation for the project, makes configurations and performs functional tests. Operates Hasler products on the train and trains the customer and internal technical employees.
Depending on the degree of fulfillment of the requirements listed below, the applicant can be classified as a Junior or Senior System Engineer.
You will be responsible for implementing activities related to new and existing products.
The main responsibilities and task associated with this interesting role are:
- Requirements management for creating the System Specification
- Generates and manages the technical project documentation and deliverables.
- Creating configurations for onboard electronic product like e.g. Event recorders, Energy Meter, Gateways.
- Specifies and executes system tests according to the project requirements
- Is responsible for the correct configuration control of the project, for both Hardware and Software.
- For some product can be required to develop a PLC based application
- Technical interface with the customer and internal employees
- Supports the technical work of the other engineers in the project team
- Supports the customer in case of technical questions and problems during the customer project
- Performs the commissioning and training of the customer, mainly in Europe
- Defines test equipment and tooling requirements and ensures their timely availability
- Support to R&D for validation of new HW and SW solutions
- Support to product management for standardized solution with 3rd party components
Requirements
You are our ideal candidate if:
- you hold an university degree in a technical field like Electrical or Electronic Engineer
- you have minimum 5 years of experience (applicable only for senior)
- you are able to prioritize and organize activities and generate and maintain a project schedule
- worked in railway projects, an advantage if the projects involved safety-related development
- you have the ability to identify project risks and opportunities
- you like to work autonomously as well as in a team
- excellent knowledge of German and English both spoken and written is mandatory, any other language is a plus
- good communication skills
- you are organized and flexible in order to adapt to a dynamic environment
Preferred qualifications are:
- good knowledge of railway standard EN50126, EN50155, EN50463
- advantage of security standards IEC62443-4 and ISO27001
