For the Solid State Dynamics Group within the Laboratory for Neutron Scattering and Imaging we are looking for a

Your tasks

You will be co-responsible for the thermal triple axis spectrometer EIGER at SINQ and use it together with the cold triple axis spectrometer TASP and the multiplexing spectrometer CAMEA for your research. You will support the external user program and be actively involved in the technical and software development of the instrument suite at SINQ. You will pursue an independent and ambitious research program preferably in the field of quantum materials.

Your profile

You hold a PhD degree in experimental physics or chemistry and you have an excellent scientific record. Experience in neutron spectroscopy and good programming skills (preferably Python) are mandatory. You have good communication skills and enjoy working in a team-oriented interdisciplinary environment.
