In our Profit Center Surge Arresters in Wettingen, Switzerland, we produce and offer innovative, reliable and secure overvoltage protection solutions in the segments of power generation and distribution, railway, and industry. Our ambition is to impress our worldwide customers as a technology leader with world-class overvoltage protection solutions. We do so by expanding our leading position in core technologies as well as by continuously improving our business processes.

In this highly responsible and dynamic role, you will lead our surge arrester production unit with around 50 employees and ensure that we further strengthen our competitiveness and develop our Swiss branch to meet the global market growth in the field of energy. Your responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and improve Health & Safety culture

  • Manage our surge arrester production unit with several teams and production lines, i.e. varistor block production, surge arrester silicon casting and assembly as well as final assembly, working in multiple shifts

  • Develop the operations management team

  • Active member of the local management team, participate in defining and implementing our strategy

  • Act as a motivator and leader to successfully implement change, continuously improve processes and further develop the people and organization

  • Ensure execution of order output at the required quality & speed, and with a minimum of waste

  • Reduce and optimize manufacturing through put time to the maximum possible to meet output & revenue targets

Your background

  • Engineering degree or min. technical educational background, preferably with further education in management

  • Several years of experience in managing successfully manufacturing for high quality products, combined with a hands-on leadership track record

  • Lean expertise, ability to drive and implement change in a manufacturing environment

  • Technical expertise in the area of process silicone injection molding and automation an asset

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, ability to lead in an inter-cultural and diverse environment

  • Fluent in German and English
