Overview of Role
We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Officer with experience in the Anti-Money Laundering ('AML') / Financial Crime area to support our Compliance team in Zurich. The main mission is to ensure conformity of the bank's internal control system in respect of Compliance processes and activities with focus on the AML Transaction Monitoring control, support of investigations and other AML Compliance controls.
Responsibilities
- Performing of Compliance framework controls in the Anti-Money Laundering ('AML') / Financial Crime area to ensure the adherence with all applicable regulatory requirements affecting the Wealth Management business
- Managing Compliance matters by acting as the first point of contact and subject matter expert related to the AML Transaction Monitoring and other AML Compliance controls such as regular client reviews (incl. annual PEP review).
- Establishing reports and presentations to Senior Management. Ensuring data is of high quality and produced on time
- Identifying potential risks and developing respective AML controls
- Monitoring and assisting with implementation in support of both new legal / regulatory requirements and respective existing controls on a daily and periodic basis
- Supporting the Head AML with regard to all other AML matters (AML regulatory obligations and controls, supporting with Compliance related requests in connection with internal and external auditors, AML investigations and MROS reporting, interactions with authorities)
- Supporting the overall development of the Compliance programme of the Group entity
- Keeping abreast of internal standards and industry regulations
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- Swiss Law Degree
- Good knowledge in Avaloq and all MS Office tools
- Proficient in English and German (written and spoken) / French an advantage
- At least 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role in Compliance, Risk Management, Risk Control or Audit in Switzerland
- Highly motivated and high engagement, can do attitude, solution-orientated
- Strong attention to details and timeliness, rigor, discretion, team spirit and ability to manage a varied range of tasks
- Excellent transversal communication skills and pro-active personality
- Resilient attitude, high professionalism, high dedication and willingness to work as a team- player
