Principal Scientist (100%)
In this position you are responsible for supporting and further developing the center of excellence (CoE) in the field of material identification and characterization. Your dedication and customer focus are critical to ensure high-quality, scientifically profound and timely investigations in a dynamic R&D and commercial environment. After a thorough on-the-job training you will be responsible for conducting material defect and particle investigations using highly specialized and state of the art technologies. You will also be responsible for executing the corresponding analyses, writing scientifically sound technical investigation reports in a GMP regulated environment and evaluate new analytical technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting and further developing the center of excellence (CoE) for particle / material identification and characterization including fracture analysis
- Understanding the process and urgency of conducting complex investigations in the CoE
- Working with high-end equipment such as Raman, LIBS, SEM-EDX, FT-IR and various types of light microscopes
- Communication with internal and external customers
- Writing scientifically sound and concise investigation reports and preparing presentations in English
- Working in a team-oriented environment and actively living a culture of diversity and inclusion
Profile:
For this position we are looking for an experienced, flexible and team-oriented person with excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as the following hard skills:
- M.S. or PhD with experience in material science, analytical or pharmaceutical sciences
- Experienced in a pharmaceutical or other GXP regulated industry
- Eager to become a technical and analytical subject matter expert in this field and practically gain experience over a longer period
- High customer focus and excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English communication skills
- A positive mindset combined with a sense of urgency for proper execution of investigational analyses in a regulated environment
