GOALS:
This position is responsible for helping to further the strategic advancement of the Global Development Organization (GDO) in support of its mission to develop and deliver therapies to patients through innovation and excellence. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide project/program management to ensure internal, cross-functional, cross-divisional project plans are in place for GDO- related initiatives.
- Work directly with the GDO Functional Heads, and key stakeholders outside departments to support the strategic direction of GDO by leading high-impact, high-priority projects and overseeing department-wide initiatives.
- Support the creation, management, and implementation of GDO’s communications strategy and communications.
- Supporting and leading key initiatives that have cross-functional impact and that are critical to GDO’s business objectives and/or Takeda’s global business objectives.
A CCOUNTABILITIES:
- Support transformational project/initiatives and change management activities to advance GDO’s mission to achieve predictable delivery.
- Support the development and execution of a fit-for-purpose communication strategy pertaining to the GDO organization.
- Produce communications for GDO, including monthly messages and related correspondence, videos, and messaging among other activities.
- Coordinate and support GDO wide events including town halls and roundtable events.
- Support the execution of opportunities for the enhancements of core capabilities within GDO functions and efficiencies, including process improvement.
- Utilize project and program management expertise to drive project teams to achieve clarity on issues and focus on effective contingencies; interface with management and influence decision-making, monitor progress, gaps, risk management to ensure progress and business continuity.
- Support cross-functional and R&D projects focused on operational excellence, including representing GDO on cross-functional teams.
- Support identification of project and resource priorities that align with global business objectives. Work closely with stakeholders to balance operational execution with GDO strategy.
- Support activities related to GDO leadership team meetings and workshops (development of agenda, coordination of logistics, facilitation of discussions etc.).
- Support activities related to GDO Onboarding and engagement ( GDO Playbook, SharePoint, Office Hours etc.).
- Develop and implement tools and templates to enable consistency and transparency across GDO projects.
- Survey the external environment to keep abreast of industry advances in technologies affecting Clinical Operations, Clinical Supplies, Regulatory Affairs, Data Management, and Pharmacovigilance to support further innovation within GDO.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree with MBA, Science or Finance background preferred.
- 6+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry preferred or a related industry with a focus on Clinical Development and Clinical Operations.
- Proven track record of leading and driving business process transformation and organizational culture change as well as delivering on programs with complex business deliverables.
- Excellent time management, organization, analytical and planning skills.
- Strong business analysis skills, proven meeting facilitation and documentation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to share information effectively.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$133,000.00 - $209,000.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
