We are actively seeking an Operational Excellence Technician to drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies across the Castlebar and Swinford sites. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, analytical skills, and leadership to effectively influence cross-functional teams, streamline processes, and ensure operational excellence. The technician will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure optimal performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process Improvement: Lead and implement continuous improvement methodologies to optimize operations and reduce waste.
- Data Analysis: Leverage data-driven insights to identify performance gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production, supply chain, quality, and other departments to enhance overall operational performance.
- Change Management: Champion organizational change by fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Training and Development: Coach and mentor peers on Lean principles and other operational excellence tools.
- Compliance: Ensure all improvements align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Project Management: Plan, execute, and manage operational excellence projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Problem Solving and Decision Making: Apply a systematic approach to identifying problems, analyzing root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Communication and Presentation: Engage in transparent communication and deliver compelling presentations on operational improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Science, or a related field (level 7 or higher).
- 1-2 years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (Green Belt or higher preferred).
- Proficiency in data analysis and process mapping tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or similar industries.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
- Experience leading operational improvement initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
