Our team is part of Group Technology and Operations and operates a number of systems for Real Estate, Wealth Management and Investment Management Operations. The various systems are hosted as SaaS or PaaS model and the team is responsible for daily operations and is also involved in various projects. The IT Business Analyst acts as a bridge between the business teams and the IT department. This role is responsible to ensure that IT solutions align with business goals and the candidate will facilitate communication, manage project deliverables, and support the implementation and optimization of the systems in scope.
What you will do
- Collaborate with investment management stakeholders to understand their business needs and objectives. Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and workflows to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Document and prioritize business requirements, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for IT development teams. Develop use cases, process flows, and data models to support solution design. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirement documents, system requirement specifications and user guides.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects related to investment management applications. Coordinate with project managers to ensure that project deliverables are on time, within scope, and within budget. Track project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate that the implemented solutions meet the business requirements. Conduct and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders. Identify and document defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective use of investment management applications. Provide ongoing support to users, addressing questions and troubleshooting issues.
- Facilitate regular meetings and communication between business stakeholders and IT teams. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables. Serve as the main point of contact for business stakeholders regarding IT initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within investment management operations. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
- Support daily operations of our systems including 1st & 2nd level support activities.
- Support compliance related activities such as supporting internal & external audits, manage internal controls and ensuring all our activities are compliant and provide respective evidence.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a business analyst, preferably within the financial services or investment management industry. Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects and solutions.
- Strong understanding of investment management processes, systems, and applications.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques.
- Understanding of Cloud based SaaS and PaaS models.
- Strong technical understandings of Cloud based environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Highly flexible and independent.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- German and English proficiency.
