Your Crew

Join a dynamic team of eight M&P engineers in Zürich, where we develop satellite structures and mechanisms produced on-site for our global customer base. You’ll work in a multicultural environment and engage with a broad range of technologies. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to learn something new every day as each day brings unique challenges.

Your Mission

• Select, develop, qualify and optimize materials and manufacturing processes for individual parts, components and complete assemblies. Establish related manufacturing work instructions.
• Define, plan, coordinate, evaluate and document development, characterization, verification and qualification tests for materials and manufacturing processes
• Support the engineering department (design/analysis/systems engineering) in terms of material and processes selection during product development. Support the procurement, production and quality during implementation of new processes and on nonconformance treatment.
• Monitor proactively and independently cost and schedule of the M&P tasks assigned
• Write technical terms (in German and/or English) of delivery, procurement specifications and technical guidelines or inputs thereto
• Represent M&P during negotiations and reviews with customers and suppliers or subcontractors
• Support continuous improvements in all concerned manufacturing processes to deliver inline with customer quality, cost, and demand requirements

Your Story

• Master’s degree in Material Science or Mechanical engineering and minimum 3 years’ experience in an equivalent field
• Fluent in German (minimum level B2) is a must criterion (to establish production documentation in German)
• Profound knowledge of metallic materials, CFRP composite materials & processes, surface treatments and adhesive bonding materials & processes
• Ability and flexibility in leading technical as well as managerial tasks
• High commitment and initiative; systematic, diligent and independent way of working
