Position Overview
The Revenue Cycle Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading the quality team which provides support to the functional groups making up the order to cash processes. These functional groups include, but are not limited to the Precision Oncology, Laboratory Support Services and Revenue Cycle Teams. In this leadership role, the supervisor will follow all relevant procedures and policies, maintain accurate feedback data reporting, and fulfill audit requests from served departments. They will maintain ongoing communication and attend area meetings with associated groups to ensure deliverable feedback is provided both timely and accurately. The Revenue Cycle Quality Supervisor supports the mission and vision of Exact Sciences Labs and strives to provide World Class Service.
Essential Duties
include but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise staff, organize and assign work priorities by effectively directing workflow and managing available team resources.
- Assists in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and counseling of Revenue Cycle staff.
- Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.
- Motivate and inspire employees to do their best work through coaching and work effectively through influence and collaboration.
- Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.
- Responsible for the work quantity of the Revenue Cycle Quality team to meet or exceed established quality metric targets.
- Identify and respond to employee performance issues including but not limited to productivity issues and or trends and as needed, in accordance with Exact Sciences policies.
- As needed, in accordance with Exact Sciences policy, prepare and conduct employee counseling and corrective action plans.
- Provides guidance on priorities for the department. Ensures work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Responsible for the timely investigation and resolution recommendations for quality measured issues and feedback exceptions.
- Identify and document quality systems issues and work cross functionally to achieve problem resolution and future system enhancements.
- Interact with departmental and other staff on matters affecting data and data integrity as needed and makes recommendations for improvements to job processes.
- Maintain accurate records of quality exceptions, root cause analysis and potential problem solution related to regular and targeted auditing.
- Monitors associates and overall department metrics to ensure revenue cycle functions are addressed according to Company/Department goals.
- Identifies additional training opportunities and works with Revenue Cycle Learning team to design and execute.
- Provide support during data inspections and audits.
- Lean Six-sigma yellow belt certification is required within the first six months in this position.
- Recommends and implements changes to ensure order quality, revenue integrity, and maximum reimbursement.
- Provides escalation support to Revenue Cycle staff.
- Identifies and shares best practices and drives for continuous improvement of the customer experience.
- Ensures compliance with all organization quality procedures and guidelines including but not limited to Quality Policy, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Ensures familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies for medical billing including but not limited to HIPAA, Medicare, Government, and Commercial insurance.
- Conducts all assigned job duties in a timely and productive manner.
- Performs all job duties according to Company policies and procedures.
- Completes other duties as assigned.

- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90 % of a typical working day.
- Ability to use a telephone through a headset.
- You will be required to successfully complete an assessment showing understanding of Exact Sciences Epic processes necessary to the job functions with a score of 80% or higher. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Healthcare, or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 3years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 3+ years of experience effectively managing/leading and motivating staff members at all levels and working effectively through influence and collaboration.
- 3+ Years experience in multiple computer systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Epic and OnBase.
- 1+ Years working in an EMR system, medical or insurance billing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA Law, medical billing principles and practices.
- Solid understanding of payer categories included Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and Insurance Payers.
- Professional working knowledge of International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9) an (ICD-10).
- Professional working knowledge of Coding Procedure Terminology (CPT).
- Professional working knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOB); able to read and interpret explanation of benefits (EOB) for all payers.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Proven ability to solve complex problems related to overall workflow processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of laboratory terminology.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and focus on quality output and concept.
- 4+ years of medical billing and collections experience.
- 3+ years of medical billing experience within the health care industry.
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to continuously improve processes.
- Extensive leadership experience including peer to peer mentorship.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing and insurance terms.
Salary Range:
$74,000.00 - $118,000.00The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
