At Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) we look after all J&J buildings around the world providing end to end services from Real Estate, Engineering & Strategic Project Delivery to Facilities Management. The Sr Manager, Project Management is accountable for the performance of assigned project portfolio for JJVC, leading thru Magnificent Project Execution, the oversight and flexible application of scaleable standard methodology Project Delivery Processes required thru the ideation, definition, execution and assessment phases; including, but not limited to driving innovation to ensure safety and appropriate quality, reducing cost and schedule, applying learning adoption internally and externally, coordinating commissioning, qualification and validation of FDA and other agency supervised facilities, technology transfer and regulations governing product manufacturing.
This role is responsible for handling and ensuring projects progress throughout the project leading the expedition of key activities across function, finding solutions to key problems, and communicating project progress, issues and solutions to management and to the project team.
Establishes alignment with the Sponsor and shares management of Key Stakeholders, aligning the Core and Extended teams to achieve the Final Project Objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Guides all phases of Ideation, Design, Execution, and Assessment, ensuring alignment with the Sponsor and Key Stakeholders while developing team dynamics across functional areas with Business Partners.
- Communication and Teamwork: Establishes a comprehensive project communication plan, coordinating with the Sponsor to engage Key Stakeholders and prepare necessary updates. Champions partnership across Core and Extended teams to achieve Final Project Objectives.
- Project Planning and Performance Management: Leads project planning, tracking, and reporting against Key Deliverables and establishes Key Performance Indicators, implementing improvement plans as needed.
- Risk and Resource Management: Develops a Risk Management methodology to identify and address potential risks, ensuring appropriate resources are aligned with project goals. Facilitates project intake, solutioning, and Stage Gate preparations.
- Design and Engineering Oversight: Assumes or delegates the Engineering and Design Lead role as necessary, supervising the design process with Architectural/Engineering (A/E) firms, preparing Requests for Proposals, and negotiating contracts.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implements J&J standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements, ensuring projects adhere to the Sustainability policy and drive LEED certification processes.
- Close-Out and Continuous Improvement: Facilitates Project Close Out activities, ensuring operational handover and financial closure while collecting benchmarking data and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
