Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!

During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. Job description
We are seeking an experienced Validation Engineer to join our team in Zürich. In this role, you will be responsible for validating railway signalling processes, ensuring functional safety, and overseeing test activities to approve system operations. You will be instrumental in defining test and commissioning (T&C) procedures and will play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Your Key Responsibilities 🎯:
- System Analysis: Develop a thorough understanding of CBTC/ATO systems, including how different subsystems interact and exchange information.
- Planning for Testing and Commissioning: Help define the necessary prerequisites and set priorities for test and commissioning activities.
- Procedure Management: Create, update, and oversee T&C procedures and protocols.
- Activity Execution and Record-Keeping: Plan and carry out T&C activities according to established test procedures. Ensure thorough documentation of test results, data sheets, and reports on defects or incidents.
- Issue Detection and Reporting: Identify and report on project and technical issues, and assist in developing solutions to address them.
- Documentation Oversight: Oversee the management of hardware and software documentation and configurations in the field.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Analyze remote diagnostic data to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, coordinating with relevant stakeholders as needed.
Your Profile 🔥:
- Educational Background: Degree in electrical or computer science engineering.
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in signalling test and/or commissioning.
- Knowledge Base: Understanding of railway signalling systems, their components, and relevant CENELEC standards.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems effectively.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, with German skills being a significant advantage.
- Personal Qualities: Open-minded, adaptable, team-oriented, and goal-driven. Strong communication and analytical skills.
