Job Summary:
The Global Process Owner plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the global development and implementation of the Culinary-related gateOPEX program. You will manage project planning and provide regular updates to key stakeholders, including Operational and Culinary leaders, the Steering Committee, and the Executive Board of gategroup.
The Global Process Owner will actively contribute to the continuous enhancement of the program, focusing on core processes, training initiatives, tracking mechanisms, audit support, and data analytics.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Global Culinary Standards Development & Testing:
- Develop operational standards for assigned processes, including process definition, SOPs, organizational structure, staffing, equipment, technology, and performance tracking.
- Organize pilot testing of new and updated standards with regional and unit teams.
- Collaborate with project groups on gateOPEX content development, communication, and training.
- Provide project leadership for development and deployment efforts.
- Support planning for complex projects during all phases.
- Facilitate project kick-offs and periodic reviews.
- Create common tools and reporting templates.
- Oversee the rollout of Culinary Competence Center training.
- Lead kaizen events and workshops to establish operational process standards within the gateOPEX program.
- Assist in developing and maintaining IT solutions for the program and operations (e.g., OPRS, Mobile Data Collector, GPS fleet solutions).
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business economics, business science, engineering, culinary arts or related fields.
- 6-Sigma and/or lean manufacturing certification.
Work Experience
- 7+ years of experience in the food service & retail industry with an international commercial track record.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing SOPs and training programs across multiple sites.
- Strong project management skills with experience handling global, multi-location projects.
- Extensive experience and track record of successfully delivering in and building relationships within matrixed organizations.
Technical / Language Skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Power BI experience is a plus.
- CAD system experience is a plus.
- Lean manufacturing/6-Sigma deployment experience.
- Fluent in the English language.
