If you're a Senior Manual QA Specialist who has an inquisitive, analytical mindset and a passion for accumulating domain knowledge - this could be the role for you:
Here's what you'll do:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and other QA team members
- Proactively work on requirements analysis to identify potential requirements conflicts, gaps, inconsistencies before development starts. Ensure testability
- Accumulate domain knowledge and suggest improvements to increase quality of the software
- Stay informed about industry trends, testing methodologies, and tools
- Provide regular updates during project meetings and stand-ups including raising and tracking risk and issues
- Create detailed test plans based on system requirements, functionality and usability
- Manage and create test data to simulate various scenarios
- Execute manual test cases to identify software bugs and verify functionality
- Collaborate with developers to ensure a shared understanding of issues
- Develop test scenarios to uncover both expected and unexpected software behaviour
- Maintain and update the regression test suite to ensure comprehensive coverage
- Identify, report and track bugs found during testing, and work with developers to resolve them
- Keep documentation clear and concise, providing all necessary details for developers
- Verify bugfixes to ensure they resolve reported issues
- Clearly communicate testing progress, results, and issues to stakeholders
This is what you'll need:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field or relevant working experience
- Proven experience in a Software Quality Assurance role
- Proficiency in testing and bug management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
- Proficiency in designing effective and detailed test cases that cover various scenarios, ensuring thorough testing of software functionality
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and testing processes
- Understanding of agile methodologies and ability to work within a Scrum team
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities, adjusting testing strategies and approaches accordingly
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
