Graduate Assistant position in Entrepreneurial finance and impact investing, HEC Lausanne

Presentation
The Department of Strategy, Globalization and Society (SGS) provides a stimulating, collegial, and interdisciplinary research environment. We value the diverse expertise of our faculty, which advances our understanding of business strategy and the social environment of business, while facilitating synergies and scientific collaborations with other departments at HEC Lausanne. Members of the Department regularly publish their research in leading outlets such as Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Management Science, Organization Science, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, and Administrative Science Quarterly.
Job information
Expected start date position: August 1st, 2024, or by agreement
Contract duration: The initial contract is for 1 year. The contract is renewable 2x2 years, in total the max duration period is 5 years
Place of work: University of Lausanne, Faculty of Business and Economics, Internef Building
Type of position: 100%
Salary: According to legal stipulations: Link to salary scale (position called “Assistant Diplômé”)
Supervisor: Prof. Jeffrey Petty
Your responsibilities
- 50% of the assistant’s time will be dedicated to completion of doctoral studies in Management.
- 50% of the assistant’s time will be dedicated to providing teaching, administrative, and research support for the supervisor
Your qualifications
In order to expand our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills:
- Master’s in Management or equivalent.
- Fluent in English.
- An interest in entrepreneurial finance, impact investing, and sustainability metrics.
- Strong analytical skills with an interest in mixed-methods research.
- Must apply and be accepted to the PhD program in Management at the University of Lausanne within the first year of employment.
- Willingness to develop a PhD Thesis in the research field of Entrepreneurial finance and impact investing
