Job Title: Consultant, Workday Configurations (Hybrid)
Location: Bangalore
Job Overview
The Consultant, HR IT role will be the delivery partner with BRM (Business Relationship Manager) and HR leadership teams. This partnership will enable the HR function to achieve its goals, drive the greatest leverage of our technical investments, enable innovation, and maintain Baxter’s leadership position in the market.
This role will define and establish designs of all technical aspects of projects. This will require knowledge of business process operations to identify workable solutions and opportunities for improvement of current applications.
Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems for core HR applications and processes.
- Collaborate with Product Owner to manage the product backlog, prioritize projects and features based on impact and alignment with the team’s long-term goals and strategy.
- Integrate input from multiple channels, including customer research, industry research/best practices and stakeholder requirements, into product priorities and requirements
- Responsible to create and maintain documentation, development standards and best practices, and helping to ensure that the platform is secure and compliant with applicable regulations
- Ensure overall design is in line with Baxter's global model, existing business rules, and is properly integrated with other applications/process. Challenge whenever required business requirements
- Serve as product engineer for agile or SDLC based project teams.
- Design, build, launch and assess MVPs employing Lean principles.
- Responsible to work with in-house application teams and third-party service providers to build knowledge and for resolving incidents
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
- Keep up with the emerging technologies and develop new technical skills as needed by applications
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures to standardize tasks for consistency in operations.
- Communicate status, solutions, and concerns. Disseminate information in a timely manner within the team and across functions. Deliver presentations, facilitate, and address issues at all levels of management.
- Mentor, coach and lead less experienced technical team members; facilitate the development of professional and technical skills for self and peers.

- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of business, data science and technical stakeholders
- Strong working knowledge of lean product principles and software development lifecycle
- Foundational project management skills (projects involving internal and external stakeholders) with ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
- Ability to work in a culture that thrives on feedback and seeks opportunities to stretch outside your comfort zone, with bias for action and completion.
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- Must be process oriented and able to define and implement new processes and standards.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details and ability to make tough decisions.
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Experience in driving multicultural virtual teams across various time zones
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields.
- 8 + years of experience in Information Systems, experience in multiple areas of IT.
- 3 years of experience in Global Workday implementation projects. Experience related to Software as Service (SaaS)
- Experience with ITSM Process; experience with Service Now or Jira is preferred.
- Experience with Business Process Configuration of Workday cloud application: Human Capital Management, Talent Acquisition, Advanced Compensation, US Payroll
- Experience with Configuration and customization of Workday Business Process
- Experience with Report Writing and Calculated Fields.
- Experience in managing access and security settings of Workday.
- Strong understanding of integrating Workday with other systems such as payroll, benefits and internal downstream applications.
- Strong understanding of HR operations and processes and how Workday technology can be leveraged.
- Workday Core HCM Configuration certification is preferred.
