Logistics Team Leader - Inbound & Outbound

You will lead the Logistics Team for the Business Unit NCE. You will be responsible to deliver excellent service to our stakeholders and to support the team in the daily activities. Main responsibility is to coordinate and manage all aspects of the logistics function globally for our Business Unit NCE and in Support for MCS EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the outbound logistics function globally for NCE and in support for MCS EMEA
  • Organizational and personnel management as well as the promotion, support and development of the direct employees & teams
  • Define and build appropriate department’s structure: Recruit, supervise, lead, develop and train the team
  • Executing day to day activities to support the team and also cross functional activities to support the stakeholders
  • Responsible for tracking KPI's including reporting. Deriving measures and implementing the improvements are part of your core activities
  • Independently assess the risk/benefit considerations to solutions, and propose alternate courses of action when needed.
  • Organization and planning of transports on all modes of transport to customers as well as replenishment deliveries to our own branches abroad
  • Organization and planning of transports on all modes of transport from our suppliers to our main production site in Visp (CH)
  • Establish required import documentation and act as primary contact for swiss customs questions
  • Clarification of transit times and container bookings directly with the shipping company or via the nominated freight forwarder
  • Preparation and scheduling of delivery bills for export and import
  • Transport processing for customer returns in cooperation with the Customer Service team
  • Maintaining complete documentation
  • Monitoring shipping deadlines and critical import deadlines
  • Requesting prices for spot transportation from service
  • Comply with all Regulatory/EHS/GMP/GDP/Security compliance procedures
  • Perform all work in a safe manner in accordance with internal quality and COSHH regulations, and that EHS initiatives are supported. Work, and encourage others to work, in a safe manner at all times

Key Requirements:

  • BA / BS degree Supply Chain / Logistics preferred
  • Business fluent in English and German
  • Min. 3+ years experience in Supply Chain / Logistics
  • Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Responsible for safety and environment measures
  • Compliant with all regulations and standards (QA / ISO 9001)
