About the job
We are seeking a dynamic, collaborative and strategic professional to join our Corporate Finance team as Senior Commercial Controller (Distribution).
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Define financial targets for revenue and profitability for the offline channel of own Swarovski Retail Stores during budgeting and forecasting cycle, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
- Plan, monitor and analyze the performance of the distribution landscape, including the root cause of actual variances and forward-looking trend analysis, identify and recommend strategies to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.
- Enhance and streamline financial processes related to distribution controlling, investment evaluation in new or existing stores, assessing business cases, aligning financial targets.
- Conduct systematic performance reviews with the business post-opening.
- Lead and support strategic projects such as distribution cost optimization, benchmarking of retail network costs and development of cost-to-serve models.
- Facilitate best practice across the Sales & Distribution channel, through benchmarking, knowledge sharing and development/ rollout of financial tools.
- Act as key finance partner within distribution to senior stakeholders, including the Global CFO, CCO and wider commercial leadership teams.
- Drive the central Controlling and Finance agenda with local general managers and controllers and act as the representative of central Finance in the geographical markets by providing the relevant perspective, priorities and benchmarking.
- Take a strategic view on market performance and consult with local markets on e.g. channel performance and profitability, business plans etc.
About you
We are looking for a unique and amazing talent, who brings along the following:
- University degree or university-level education, preferably in economics, business administration, business accounting, finance or a certified public accountant degree
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in a multinational environment, ideally in a global or regional business controlling role from the FMCG, luxury/fashion retailing, or consulting industries
- Strong business and commercial acumen with a proactive, independent, and consulting-style mindset
- A proven track record in business partnering along distribution landscapes, analysis, decision support with an ability to constructively challenge and influence senior stakeholders
- Advanced analytical skills, problem solving skills and financial modelling skills
- Clear communication skills, including an ability to summarize complex issues into simple, concise messages and recommendations
- Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating with other functional teams
- Fluent oral and written communications skills in English
- Experience working with SAP and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (incl. financial modelling and scenario analysis) and PowerPoint.
