With this strategic investment, SIX aims to jointly develop the ecosystem for a reliable, scalable, and integrity-driven durable carbon removal market.
As the Carbon Markets Senior Business Development Manager, you will act as the primary business development contact between SIX and Carbonfuture, driving engagement with prospective buyers of carbon removal credits within SIX's stakeholder base. This includes providing input to the development of Carbonfuture's product offering and go-to-market strategy.

- manage and facilitate the business relationship between SIX and Carbonfuture, implementing the strategic vision and leverage SIX' positioning for the future success of the company
- develop networks and partnerships with key industry stakeholders to reinforce market presence, utilizing existing contacts of SIX, and serve as a trusted ESG and Carbon Markets contact to SIX' corporate clients
- represent SIX at conferences, events or working groups and associations (where relevant), together with SIX experts and the Carbonfuture team and in line with the jointly defined communication strategy
- facilitate the crafting of proposals in response to buyer carbon removal RFPs, engage with senior corporate stakeholders, and support technical due diligence processes jointly with Carbonfuture's experienced team
- analyse market dynamics and client needs, translating insights into innovative solutions with product and communications teams and support the further strategic development of the ecosystem
- 5+ years of experience and proven track record in business development and B2B sales, with an excellent understanding of financial markets and strong negotiation, commercial and stakeholder management skills
- focus on enterprise-level clients, including business development experience with financial institutions
- proven ability to build successful channel sales and partnerships, with desirable familiarity in climate change frameworks and the carbon removal market; existing relevant network is a strong advantage
- creative, tenacious, with strong interpersonal skills including the ability to connect with people, and willing to travel 10-20% for business-related trips
- self-driven, motivated team player with excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English; German, Spanish or French is a plus
