Internship: Process engineer for eMobility 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

During your assignment at Hitachi Energy, you will be part of our eMobility engineering team. A diverse team of engineers whose goal is to support the development and manufacturing of our SiC e-mobility module RoadPak while ensuring the highest quality standards. You will work on the implementation of our latest machine into the production line. Together with our engineers you will qualify and ramp-up the automated pick & tack equipment for sintering. As the new system will be moved into our ongoing production, you will provide daily support to help meet our monthly production goal during the transition to production and qualify new material and products. You will participate in troubleshooting and safeguarding new processes, identify yield detractors through data analysis, and optimize performance to ensure high quality.

How you’ll make an impact

• Learn and understand of the process parameters and their influence on the product quality

• Process qualification of pick-and-tack equipment and new sintering jigs (validate parameters, track process stability, document observations and work on improvements)

• Teach and improve vision set-ups for the pick-and-tack process

• Get familiar and use automation control system (ECS)

• Statistical data analysis for process improvement

• Understand the requirements and challenges of an automotive factory

• Contribute to a trustful teamwork within our Team

• Full documentation of changes

Your background

• Student in a technical field (minimum Bachelor of mechanical engineering, material science, physics, electronics, chemistry, etc.)

• Interest in semiconductor/automotive sector

• Interested in statistical methods and tools

• Highly motivated and high achiever

• Hands on and motivated to work in a clean room environment

• Autonomous, proactive and self-organized

• Fluent in English spoken and written, German is a plus
