terre des hommes schweiz (tdhs) supports the empowerment of young people in Africa, Latin
America and Switzerland. Joining forces with them, we fight poverty, violence and discrimination and advocate for the rights of children and youth as well as fair North-South relations. Our core competences lie in participatory and solution-focused work with young people. In Mozambique, we are working, mainly, in the field of Sustainable Livelihoods with some projects on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), including gender-based violence (GBV). Our country portfolio in Mozambique has 6 partner organizations in Zambezia, Manica, Sofala and Maputo, respectively.
Starting from 1* of February 2025, or upon agreement, we seek to employ a National
Coordinator for Mozambique, based in our office in Maputo.
National Coordinator 100%
We are looking for a team player, a supportive team leader equipped with empathy and structure.
The National Coordinator is part of our international programme team and leads the country office in Maputo. She/he reports directly to the co-lead Program Coordinator based in Basel and will be working in coordination with our teams in Zimbabwe and Tanzania.
Your responsibilities: e Tolead the national coordination office with two employees, with regular monitoring visits to partner organisations in and outside Mozambique. e Toimplement and further develop the country programme in Mozambique on
Sustainable Livelihoods (SLH) with an emphasis on agroecology, green/blue economies and youth as a primary target group. Experience in gender-transformative work and/or
SRHR is a plus. e Toidentify, accompany, monitor and advise the partner organisations and to strengthen the partners' network as well as to create opportunities for experience sharing, based on the regional and global programme strategy 2025-2028. e Tonetwork with national and international organisations and government departments and to cascade best practices in communities of practice. e Tohelp develop and support implementation of advocacy strategies on SLH in
Mozambique and beyond in Southern Africa e To oversee and help further establish the compliance policies of tdhs in Mozambique. e Towork closely and share information with the head office in Switzerland. e Torepresent terre des hommes schweiz in Mozambique.
Your qualifications and experience: e Must bea holder ofa master's degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Agroeconomy or an equivalent level of education from a recognized institution. e Atleast 5 years' work experience in team leadership and project management, especially in the field of sustainable livelihoods (VET programmes, Agroecology, etc.) for a reputable non-governmental organization. e Experience in designing, planning, implementing and reporting on development programmes, incl. M&E skills and experience. e Experience in overviewing and controlling budgets and financial reporting. e Outstanding analytical skills and excellent sooken and written English and Portuguese skills.

e Experience and interest in working with local, national and international partners and knowledge of the national NGO networks in and outside Mozambique. e Willingness to travel several times per year within and outside Mozambique.
