Job Summary: The Logistics Tech manages multiple aspects of inbound/outbound freight for the business while maintaining strong relationships with vendors, high standards of safety, quality, and service. This position is responsible for ensuring all inbound/outbound freight within scope meet the requirements of both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all freight movements within scope are managed in the most cost-effective manner possible and that inbound/outbound delivery timelines meet customer requirements
• Manage vendor relationships, as it relates to material movement, including metal and non-metal items
• Primary contact for local dedicated carrier – Manages the schedule for the local dedicated trucks in rotation for CBG
• Manage the local dedicated supplier scorecard process – Includes drafting of monthly scorecard and leading the monthly meeting with the carrier
• Manage Customer and Supplier metal returns within scope

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Basic computer skills are required
• Demonstration of analytical, organizational, and communication skills is required
