The International Olympic Committee is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement.
A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees, the International Federations, Organising Committees for the Olympic Games, the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Olympic broadcast partners. It also collaborates with public and private authorities including the United Nations and other international organisations.
About the role:
As the Summer Sports Trainee you will be resposnible for supporting the summer sports section with activities and projects related to International Federations, the Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games.
Your responsibilities:

Support the Summer team in their work with the Sport Functional Area (FA) of future Organising Committees (Dakar 2026, Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032).

This includes assisting with the preparation of activities such as International Federation (IF) Seminars, Coordination Commissions and Delivery Partner Meetings.

Contribute to the review and update of sport documentation, including but not limited to participation pathways for Dakar 2026 and qualification systems for Los Angeles 2028.

Ensure effective tracking of information regarding IF decisions meetings and events.

Contribute to the finalisation of knowledge transfer from Paris 2024 and updating of Games reference material.

Support the team in their work with Summer International Federations, including the organisation of meetings and events at Olympic House.

Perform various administrative tasks including the preparation of Executive Board decisions, reports, presentations and IF correspondence.

Support the team with projects related to Olympic Agenda 2020 +5.

Assist with the development and management of the IF SharePoint collaborative sites.
Our requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree.
-
Fluent English speaking and writing.
-
Experience in project coordination.
-
Good knowledge and command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Good knowledge of videoconferencing systems such as Teams and Zoom.
-
Knowledge of SharePoint and Smartsheet is an asset.
-
Experience in a national or international sport event or organisation is an asset.
