Position Summary
As the Senior Manager Sheet Metal & NDT Shops, you will lead by example, guiding and supporting a team of Sheet Metal and NDT professionals to achieve excellence. Your leadership will foster a culture of safety, collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring that every team member has the tools, training, and motivation to succeed. In this role you will oversee project execution, resource allocation, and team performance, ensuring maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and within budget. Your mission
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 30-40 employees, ensuring efficient workload distribution and performance optimization.
- Project Management: Plan and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with budgetary goals.
- Operational Excellence: Drive process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Aircraft Team Managers, Project Management, Supply Chain, and external vendors to ensure seamless operations.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain and enforce company and regulatory safety standards, collaborating with EHS and Quality teams to address compliance issues.
- Talent Development: Build a strong team through performance management, training, succession planning, recruitment of top talent, and apprenticeship program.
- Customer Focus: Ensure customer assets are protected, expectations are met, and communication is clear and professional at all levels.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify investment opportunities for business growth and innovation while fostering a proactive, forward-thinking team culture.

Your profile
- Minimum five years of experience in aviation management with a technical degree or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in aircraft structures and holding a sheet metal or NDT qualification (Swiss S-License or NDT Level 2/3 certification) is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience, including team management (30-40 employees), performance evaluation, and change management.
- Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and strategic planning.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
- Fluent in English (French and German are a plus).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
