We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Accounting & Reporting to drive financial excellence and strategic decision-making. In this key leadership role, you will oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance with global standards, and contribute to the financial strategy of a pioneering energy technology company.

How you’ll make an impact
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain partnerships with global headquarters, business unites, geographies, and function leaders.
- Strategic Leadership: Lead and develop high-performing teams responsible for accounting policies, financial reporting, consolidation processes, finance master data and the related applications.
- Process Improvement: Drive the modernization and standardization of end-to-end accounting and reporting processes to enhance accuracy, speed, and transparency.
- Technology and Transformation: Jointly with the global finance process owner, and IT drive a best-in-class technology roadmap for the Accounting and Reporting process. Spearhead the implementation of new technologies in collaboration with finance shared services, and IT.
- Financial Reporting: Responsible for the preparation of consolidated financial reporting to Hitachi Group.
- External Audit: Manage global external audit relationship and support the timely completion of statutory and group audit requirements.
- Accounting Policy Implementation and Education: Ensure consistent application of accounting policies across the company, securing compliance with IFRS and Hitachi Group requirements.
- Finance Master Data: Drive the development of master data tools, governance frameworks, training, and documentation to support data accuracy and operational effectiveness. Oversee a global Finance Master Data Center of Excellence (CoE) to ensure consistent, high-quality data management.
Your background
- Exceptional communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience in leveraging captive shared services organization, able to engage different teams working on a common journey.
- Experience in working within a global organization, able to influence people without direct reporting lines.
- Cultural sensitivity and work experience in an international environment.
- Proven experience leading global accounting and reporting activities in a centralized and technology-driven environment.
- Good understanding of SAP 4/HANA, basic understanding of Blackline suite of products: Inter Company, Blackline Studio, Blackline Account Reconciliation and Blackline Journal Entry/Journal Risk Analyzer.
- Track record of improving processes, enhancing data governance, and promoting operational efficiency on a global scale.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- >10 years finance experience, of which not less than 5 in a global finance leadership role, in a global, fast-paced and dynamic organization.
