Organizational context: Nutreco Exploration is the ingredient Discovery & Development partner for Nutreco businesses.
- The purpose of Nutreco Exploration (aka NutEx) is to create value for Nutreco in the scope of two programs: Phytotechnology and Microtechnology. This is done using a model of connectivity, empowerment, and partnership that engages both the local business units and global teams.
- The vison of NutEx is to build new organizational capabilities for Nutreco that allow the development of a portfolio of proprietary added value products to improve performance, health, welfare of pets and food producing animals and fish. The products developed by NutEx are associated with patents, regulatory approvals and solid scientific understanding of their basic mechanisms and efficacy.
- To execute its vision, NutEx cultivates a culture of exploration and discovery, fostered by continuous learning, cooperation, and transparent communication with stakeholders. Permanent reciprocal cooperation is essential, as is business intimacy to continuously ensure the commercial viability of all pursued opportunities.
- After several years of Discovery & Development, Nutreco now has a brand, products, and a large amount of content that needs to be actively managed and developed. This role fills that need.
Role summary: This role applies to both the products born out of NutEx and the content associated with the products and the Center of Excellence. The purpose of this position is to oversee the creation, management and optimization of NutEx content, including organization and management associated activities and deliverables. It also includes traditional product management and expertise on launched products. This is a dynamic, creative, and highly interactive role, ideally filled by someone who is highly organized, energetic, and self-motivated. The ideal candidate would have interest and desire to leverage NutEx content for improving customer experience, as well as providing added-value documentation to the businesses and the market. The Content Development Manager will operate transversally across the NutEx programs and across Nutreco Businesses.
Key responsibilities:
- Take the lead in managing Nutreco Exploration’s umbrella brand: Edgeos. This includes branding strategy & implementation, management and upkeep of visual identify, communication on branding, interaction and collaboration with corporate communications, refining value proposition and unicity points, as well as communicating with the businesses to support them in leveraging the value of Edgeos.
- Lead and own the product management function for launched products. This includes assembly and upkeep of product value proposition and technical dossier, content and documentation associated with the product, life cycle management, and any post-launch developments/changes that are required by the business or regulatory.
- Lead and manage the creation and upkeep of Edgeos product monographs, which contain all Discovery & Development information on each ingredient and are provided to the relevant businesses once per year to support them in creation of marketing materials.
- Manage and orchestrate the completion and delivery of the NutEx Chronicles, a quarterly newsletter bringing value-added content to Nutreco businesses and customers.
- Organize, coordinate and manage all customer and stakeholder visits to Nutreco’s Garden of the Future, our center of excellence for Discovery & Development. This includes leading and participating in the creation of the visit content and the continuous evolution/improvement of the visits.
- Take the lead in managing NutEx visuals and content including website, presentations, and visuals that are created to support the business, including our virtual reality tool.
- Actively participate and take initiative in developing and maintaining the visual identity of Nutreco’s Garden of the Future and quality/experience of visits.

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of relevant Marketing experience working with medicinal plants (animal nutrition experience not required).
- Track record of managing content, projects, and marketing materials.
- Capability to create and write content.
- Experience and ability to be very hands on and an active doer.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Learning curve will be steep; candidate should enjoy being pushed out of their comfort zone.
