Operations Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Controller to join our Finance - Controlling team. This role will be responsible for overseeing operational controlling processes, providing critical cost and variance analyses, and optimizing SAP CO-supported processes. The successful candidate will be a key finance contact for our operations team in SCHURTER and will play a crucial role in ensuring transparent and efficient financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the continuous improvement of operational controlling processes and cost transparency

• Conduct cost and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making

• Ensure efficient month-end closings and accurate financial reporting

• Play a key role in SAP to the Cloud migration, focusing on conceptual development and optimization of SAP CO-supported processes

• Develop and maintain controlling tools and KPI reports for enhanced financial insights

• Collaborate closely with financial accounting, production controlling, and IT teams to ensure seamless SAP system integration

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes to enhance cost efficiency

• Monitor cost structures, investment control, and production cost coverage

• Conduct project-related financial tasks and ad-hoc analyses

Your Profile

Education & Experience:

• Degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering

• Further education or certifications in Controlling, SAP (FI/CO/BW), Excel or Process Optimization

• 3-7+ years of experience in controlling, financial analysis, or cost accounting, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment

• Strong SAP CO (Controlling) and FI (Finance) expertise, including cost center accounting, product costing, and profitability analysis

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Key Competences:

• Analytical mindset: Strong ability to interpret financial data and identify trends

• SAP proficiency: Deep understanding of SAP CO (Cost Controlling) and ERP systems

• Advanced Excel, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, and SAP BW knowledge

• Technical & conceptual thinking: Ability to translate operational performance into financial KPIs

• Communication & collaboration: Works closely with production, finance, and leadership teams

• Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in cost calculations and financial statements

• Problem-solving & decision-making: Proactive in identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements

• Fluency in English and German
