About Speedgoat
Speedgoat develops and markets real-time testing systems, to innovate and test control designs, and to thoroughly test embedded controllers. Frequent use cases include power systems, power electronics, and system level control designs, for automotive, aerospace, industrial automation, and energy applications, medical devices, and robotics. All Speedgoat test systems provide unrivaled MATLAB® & Simulink® workflow integration, and are available for office, lab, rack, field, and embedded use.
Organization and Mission
You are a member of the Application Engineering team, part of the Customers department, and you also closely collaborate with our Technologies and Marketing departments, as well with customers and with partner companies.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Create MATLAB & Simulink-based examples and video content outlining how Speedgoat solutions can be adopted to accelerate the testing of control designs and embedded controllers.
- Assist in pre-sales and post-sales activities by creating proof-of-concepts, running solution demonstrations, and conducting workflow- and application-focused workshops.
- Improve the integration of Speedgoat solutions with third-party simulation software (e.g., Dymola®, Simcenter Amesim™, GT-SUITE) to support high-fidelity, multidomain, and multiphysics real-time simulation.
- Collaborate closely with MathWorks teams to enhance combined workflows for emerging industry trends.
Focus topics:
- Digital engineering and shift-left testing
- Software-driven workflows and service-oriented architectures
- System-level, multidomain, and data-driven Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation
- Test automation, requirements-based testing, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows
- Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing for industry-grade controllers (e.g., ECUs, FADECs, PLCs)
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink.
- Experience with HIL simulation and testing.
- Familiarity with multibody and multiphysics simulation software (e.g., Simscape™, Dymola, Simcenter Amesim, GT-SUITE)
- Knowledge of test automation methodologies, including requirements-based testing and CI/CD.
- Experience with industry-grade embedded controllers (e.g., ECUs, FADECs, PLCs) and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, SOME/IP, ARINC 429, EtherCAT, Modbus, etc.).
- Familiarity with data-driven and AI-driven modeling approaches (e.g., system identification, reduced-order modeling).
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, developers, and customers to improve and implement test solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to learning and applying new technologies.
- Fluent in German and English.
