Head of Risk Data & Systems (all)

Your responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of data engineers
• Gather and structure large volumes of real-time and historical data from various sources, including trading platforms, commodity exchanges, external providers, and internal systems
• Manage risk databases, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency while ensuring scalability
• Work closely with teams across risk, trading, and treasury departments to implement, maintain, and enhance risk management technology platforms, automating data flows, calculations, and reporting processes
• Develop and maintain systems for risk reporting and monitoring and help designing dashboards that make risk data accessible and interpretable for stakeholders
• Establish data governance and coding standard policies, ensuring proper handling and comprehensive documentation of risk data and technology platforms

Your skills

• Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
• Several years of experience in quantitative risk management or analysis within a commodity trading or financial environment
• Deep understanding of financial markets, particularly commodity markets
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams and projects in high-performance settings
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++ and experience with modelling tools like MATLAB or R
• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a hands-on approach to addressing risk-related issues
